    About Koh Samui

    Koh Samui is the largest island in the Gulf of Thailand, and the second largest of Thailand. Voted as having one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world, this idyllic island is hilly, covered in abundance with coconut palms and other green, luscious vegetation and countless stretches of beaches and bays.

    Koh Samui was discovered long ago by some of the first backpackers and from that point onwards was destined to become an international tourist destination. Koh Samui's natural beauty has drawn the attention of tourists and travellers to such an extent that it is regarded as one of South East Asia's primary holiday destinations. Beaches, such as Chaweng beach where Baan Talay is located, is firmly on the map. The island has a small boutique style airport with flights arriving and leaving daily from and to Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.

    Restaurants & Dining in Koh Samui

    There is an abundance of very high quality restaurants in Chaweng and around Baan Talay. You will find fresh fish and seafood such as crabs, crayfish and shrimp which are prepared to order.

    There are a number of excellent Thai, Indian, Mexican, Chinese and Japanese restaurants in the area also. The choice is outstanding. Dining in Chaweng whether it be at our hotel or a local eatery is inexpensive yet excellent. This is just one of the reasons that people keep coming back to Baan Talay year after year.

    Koh Samui Nightlife

    Koh Samui and in particular is famous for its varied nightlife. What better way to spend the evening (or the night) than to partake in a delicious dinner followed by a few cocktails or maybe a few glasses of beer at one of the scores of bars on the Chaweng strip. The area caters for all tastes of fun and relaxation.
